DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nThe Paneuropean Debate League provides young people with an opportunity to strengthen their rhetorical skills\, regularly engage with questions of European and foreign policy\, and thereby develop both their personality and their professional profile. In doing so\, the programme aims to strengthen participants’ resilience against disinformation and propaganda.  \nIn our theory session we focus on rhetoric and argumentation theory as well as the mechanics of debating. \nOur guest\, Sophie Wotschke\, is a Member of the Austrian Parliament for the pro-European liberal party NEOS. \nShe is also the chairwoman of NEOS’ youth organisation\, JUNOS. \nTo strengthen democratic discourse\, she hosts monthly debates on current issues for young adults in the Austrian Parliament. \nThe sessions are held as hybrid formats.
